Collaboration together with Anne Brandhøj in 2018.
The piece is inspired by the Tuscan pillars carrying the busts at Thorvaldsens Museum. The four doors of this monolithic cupboard slide around the central axis of the cabinet following a spiral-shaped track. Ordinarily, a pillar does not stand alone but is subordinate to something else, without intrinsic value. Its purpose only exists in carrying a bust or supporting an architectural structure. This piece of furniture highlights the pillar form itself, not what it supports. The pillar has become its own purpose.
